Launched in 2017, Canada's Vector Institute is an independent, not-for-profit organization that is dedicated to research in machine learning and deep learning.
Based in the MaRS Discovery District and in close proximity to the University of Toronto, the institute is host to a community of academics and startups who are focused on advancing AI research and driving its adoption in the public and private sectors (including Canada's Superclusters).
Roxnana Sultan is the institute's Vice President of Health where she is able to draw from an amazing career that has included leadership roles with the SickKids, the University Health Network, and the Canadian Institute of Health Research (CIHR) in order to guide research and development of AI applications within the life sciences.
