Why attend AI & Warfare - What are the critical questions?
The timing of this event has been inspired by mounting concerns about the unpredictable and potentially catastrophic outcomes of integrating artificial intelligence into military operations.
Our goal is to offer students, workers, and everyday citizens the chance to gain a better understanding of the issues so they are in a better position to form their own opinions on the subject and help them to determine what questions they should be asking.
The event will feature a panel of experts who will answer questions and dive into the key issues:
The unpredictable nature of AI decision-making and its potential to escalate conflicts
The risks of autonomous weapons systems and their impact on global security
The ethical and legal challenges surrounding AI in military and diplomatic decision-making
