Lawrence Richer is a Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, University of Alberta and a practicing pediatric neurologist who is committed to maximizing the use of health data to improve patient outcomes through research and to enhancing support for innovation in clinical research.
Lawrence's professional roles include:
Vice-Dean, Clinical Research, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Alberta
Director, Northern Alberta Clinical Trials and Research Center (NACTRC)
Academic lead, Precision Health Signature Area at the University of Alberta
Alberta Chair, Health Informatics Research in support of the Real-World Evidence Unit
Much of his research focuses on the application of precision health in pediatric autonomic disorders and the treatment of pediatric migraine.
You might say he's a little busy 🤣 and so we were very fortunate to find some time to speak with him about the role of AI technology in his capacity as a clinical researcher and a director of multiple clinical research programs.
